PRHRiA has been involved in several Public Garden restorations, replantings, and maintenance programmes, ensuring that historic Roses remain a part of our Public Gardens Heritage. Our most significant contributions have been to Falls House in Lesmurdie, Araluen Botanic Park in Roleystone, and Stirling Square in Guildford.
Falls Farm Garden
Falls Farm is steeped in local history and fortunately was saved from the bulldozer and fully restored. The Heritage Rose Gardens at Falls Farm are maintained by PRHRiA. Read more HERE.
Stirling Square Gardens
Listed on the State Register of Heritage Places, and a place of significance to Noongar people, Stirling Square was home to four neglected rose beds. Read how, and why, they were reinvigorated HERE.
Araluen Botanic Park
Araluen has a significant rose collection of over 400 varieties and 2,500 plants. The rare 'found roses' are given pride of place. But Araluen was not always a Botanic Park. Find out more HERE.

Pinjarra Heritage Rose Garden
Started in the early 1980s to complement the historic buildings at Edenvale, roses were donated from all over Australia. The garden is approximately 1 acre with over 300 roses. Read more HERE.

PRHRiA has members who have cultivated and nurtured beautiful gardens full of old fashioned Heritage Roses. Some members open their gardens to the Public during the year, either as an Event or by appointment. Some of these gardens you will find listed for Openings on our EVENTS page and some are only open by appointment.
